The Smart Controls panel shows parameters that affect either a group of sounds within the kit, or an individual kit piece.
Click a cell in the Drum Grid to view the Smart Controls for that kit piece. Click the disclosure triangle at the lower left of the Drum Grid if the Smart Controls panel is not visible.
Note: The parameters discussed in this section are common to many kit piece sounds. The center knobs vary between kit pieces.

Pitch knob: Set the pitch of the individual kit piece.
Note: Because kit pieces are sample-based, adjusting Pitch affects the playback speed and length of the sound.
Length knob: Set the sample playback length. Changing this value affects the decay phase of the sound.
Envelope knob: Set the envelope shape. Changing this value can affect the attack or decay phase of the sound, or both.
Pan knob: Set the pan position of the individual kit piece.
Volume knob: Set the level of the individual kit piece.
